    BargainBas…
    (2 items)

Hi! Sorry.. I put the words on my photo before I knew I could mark these as mystery items on the site :-). I'm new here! Thanks for your help. This has been with my vintage barware items forever!

It's a funnel-type shotglass thing. It has an insert inside the funnel that collapses when the bars it is sitting on touches anything. For instance, the neck of a bottle. So if you could picture filling the shot glass and setting it on the neck of a liquor bottle, the insert would come up and empty the shot through the holes into the bottle. But that makes no sense.

Another idea is that you might fill it with a shot, and "tap" the bars on a drinking glass. It would sure empty the shot quickly, but that doesn't make sense, either. It's too small for any diameter glass I've seen.

You could, however, use it as a shotglass over your mouth and shotgun some booze into your mouth.. but I can't see that happening in the 30s & 40s. The red knobs on the handle are bakelite or celluloid.

3" tall, 3" long bars, 1/2" opening at bottom.. thanks for any ideas!

I have one of these and always thought that it was a jigger to measure alchohol. You would fill the top and press down and the the measured portion would dispense into your glass. This does not have the three holes that the wine decanter would have, or the long neck to fit down the decanter. I think if you fill the top you will find that it holds a ounce.
