I was just wondering if any one could give me a value and a date of this watch ? My Grandfather passed away years ago and I found this in his belongings .

Hello, if that is a triple bridge tourbillion it is very valuable. Even if not a tourbillion GP watches can be very expensive! You should have this looked at very carefully by a high end watchmaker/jeweler. Cases usually of gold,platinum are normal. You can contact Girard Perregaux at their website with photos and questions of date and worth. If not a replica watch this is quite valuable and you should take time to gather all information from them as possible. Best regards, Tony.
this is a modern chinese fake watch. it has a fake repeater lever on the side. the movement is modern. picture is not really sharp, but I think I see 'magic lever' automatic winder which GP would hardly use.. I think it also doesn't click when turning in a reverse direction as they use a cheaper solution to engage intermidiate gear. Of course it was made to resemble modern GP 3 bridges reissue )
