    inherited from my great aunt in 2000, she was 98 when she died so not sure how long she had this or how old it is. It looks like a kind of swan? There is some engraving on the bottom which looks like "Hisieton Claude" then the number 114. It is quite heavy, i'm not sure what the metal is, I wouldn't say silver because its not tarnished. Any help would be great.

      That would be HOSELTON CANADA (this one's tough to make out) - Google that with swan and you'll see many. The metal is aluminum I think.
