I have a nearly identical flute as this, that I got in Mexico about 25 years ago. It was a tourist souvenir purchased at the pyramids at Teotihuacan. Perhaps yours is a more special item than mine, I think mine is smaller, and not as colorful. But very similar.

You mentioned your item is bejeweled, but I don't see any jewels. Can you show a photo of the jewels? Mine definitely has no jewels.

I mistakenly referred to the inlaid choral and jade pieces as jewels. Can you describe yours a little more?

      Thanks,

Mine is just painted, it's a little shorter than yours. (Sorry, it's packed away, so I can't photograph it for comparison). No green interior. But it's definitely a flute, which I believe yours is.

Sorry to say, but its a Mexican tourist piece. They pump things like this out by the thousands and sell them near tourist attractions. It doesn't have much collector value : [ I live in the Southwest, so I'm very familiar with Mexican stuff like this and can spot it a mile off. Sorry Rice : [
