Wooden Vase

Wooden Vase made with a lathe all hand done and hand carved. Does anyone recognize the artist. Looks to be made out of Ash. The bottom has some writting "1974" "christmas" and what appears to be JEV. It may just mean that it was used on the Christmas of 1974 and owned by JEV. I dont' know I'm hoping somebody out there may know something more. Does any body know the artist or anything else relevant to the peice.
