Hi I went to Guatemala 4 times in the 80's. These are wood carved Gods of the Mayans. The 9 banded Armadillo use to turn into a bench and Quetazcoatl and Sun God and other Gods would sit on him and they would discuss the stars, the sun, and planting of corn. If the Chief's got out of line he would jump into the air throwing them to the ground, there are many stories probably. THIS carver makes joke about 2012 with Sun God burning earth with fire. If you hold to mirror it makes sense. toracat
