    I got this oldie a few weeks ago. It was made around 1870 and was purchased from the Great Granddaughter of the woman who made it. It looks to have been used at the end as a bread basket, as it has feedsack material sewed into the inside. Really folksy, it has a great patina and it was certainly used alot. It has a piece sewed on the bottom to help keep it steady which is why I think it was used at the table to hold bread or other food. Hope you like it. :)
