      Can you post more photos? Drawer shot, back, bottom.
      Are they super dinged up? Why do you want to refinish? It looks great as is.

      Try Old English medium scratch guard on the whole piece. Wood looks thirsty, and should help with the scratches. Vacuum cleaners can be tough on wood.
      Soak the piece a couple of times and she should brighten right up.
