I'm trying to find some history on these bottles I bought at a garage sale years ago. I was told that the ceramic one were called 'gin jugs' used to smuggle alcohol during the prohibition but there is some writing on the broken label that appears to be German. If anyone knows anything about these bottles, along with my 'lil brown jug', I would really appreciate the info.
