Majolica? Capidomonte? LOT OF 3 VERY UNIQUE, One-of-a-kind PIECES. I have been told they may be Majolica or Capidomonte. THE TALLEST "VASE" HAS A BROKEN ARM THAT HAS BEEN REGLUED. *SEE PHOTO. *The other 2 pieces are in *MINT* condition. :)
They appear to be a male, female and a child. The tallest seems to have a male face, the medium, a female face. The smallest piece has both a child's face and a baby's face with 2 herons: one on each side.
These have initials on the bottoms which say, "SLH, JDJ, and/or TAP": The corresponding bottom of each piece has its assigned initials on the bottom in each's photo.
I have searched high and low and cannot find these rare pieces anywhere and have been told over and again they "are one of a kind"! I have asked close to a hundred people all over the USA if they know anything about them and they said they have never seen them before.
The woman who gave them to me told me 7 years ago that they were "older" (Maybe antique, maybe 1970's-1980's?) AND that they "cost a lot".
There is a small one which looks like a perfume bottle (5 inches), a medium rounded one (8 inches) and a tall one (10 inches). The small (perfume bottle) one has 2 faces and 2 birds, like an egret or heron. The medium and small pieces are in mint condition
