Cleaning closets after the passing of my father, I found this piece of possibly silk cloth embroidery. He had told me stories of his time in the navy during World War II and his time in China. I remember seeing this as a child. I have no Idea if this is worth anything more than sentimental value.

Oriental embroidery has been a popular souvenir item for sailors visiting the Far East since the late 19th century.

Condition on your item looks fantastic since it was stored out of sunlight. Most items do not have the vibrant colors of yours.

Values depend on the quality, size, design and condition of the item.

Yours is a very basic design-- possibly for USN Liberty cuffs and would have a very minimal value.

As a momento of your father, I am sure it has a great sentimental value.
