I was getting ready to paint this but someone said might be Wedgwood. Ignore where I taped it to paint. The tape covers a heavy metal. Anyone know if it is or how I can tell. Would hate to paint it if it is.

I would bet money on its being Wedgwood blue jasperware.
Any Wedgwood collector would love it.
You would have to pull it apart to see the marks.
      Please don't do it!

I had no idea. I bought it at the Thrift store for $1.50. My MIL said she thought it was wedgwood and would be desirable. She said they are valuable. Of course I won't paint knowing what it is now.

Nice Lamp! Ecanada Pottery Company of Toronto, made similar Blue lamps with this type of Slipware decoration but the quality of this one suggests Wedgwood. RER (LOUMANAL)

WELL , I HAVE A MOLD, OF THE GRAPE AND VINE DESIGN......A BETTER PICTURE WOULD ALLOW A COMPARISON. WEDGWOOD, WORKED WITH
FRENCH, METAL FIRMS TO DO THE CAST METAL WORKS. OFTEN THEY,IN OLDER ITEMS MIXED UP FROM SPARE PARTS. SOME WHERE ON THE METAL ARE INITIALS. FROM THE GRAPE AND THE METAL MARKS ,PRETTY, GOOD TO IDENTIFY.WELL WORTH $1.50 OK TO TEXT
TO 575-904-7793 MORE QUESTION,, I AM A COLLECTOR SINCE 1967++BRUNO
