    Wow! this piece is OLD and very beautiful. i think it's either french or italian. I've got to look for a signature now. it's large - 30 inches tall. a little old damage to the head, but otherwise perfect.

      i'm pretty sure that this is mid-to-late 19th century french terracotta, but would love to know more about it if we have any experts here. i found some comps online which were extremely expensive [the cheapest was around 7g!]. i wonder if i should have the scrape to the head professionally repaired. it looks as though it happened a long time ago. the piece has old, dead moss on it.
