Last year someone in our apartment complex dumped a huge pile of New Yorkers (close to a hundred) from 1940's through 1950's in the lobby to give away to anyone who wanted them. They had ripped the covers off all of the magazines but left the rest behind. I'm in Heaven! So much history - so many great vintage articles, cartoons, ads etc. I'll be going through these and posting for months to come.
Here is a great wartime Chesterfield ad (1942) featuring actress Joan Bennett. I also posted a pic of a poster I found on the internet from "Twin Beds" - the movie referenced in this ad.
