Another lean day but I picked up this 20" Green luster ware lamp at Goodwill. The base was loose as usual from someone looking for marks, which I double checked before I tightened it up. All I saw was a very faint G7 but no makers's name or mark. The heavy metal base is white /pot metal. The lamp body is ceramic with handles and a green luster finish over most of it. The decoration in the middle shows a courting colonial couple. It's a transfer design and not hand painted. The gold trim is worn from years of dusting. A small spray of gold leaves on the base is almost completely gone. There are no chips or cracks and it still has the original socket and plug but the wire looks newer. I'd say it's late 30's through the 40's. -Mike-

Thanks Geno. Maybe a touch of François Boucher too. No doubt one of a pair that graced the night stands on each side of a bed.
