I use them daily, and have one tattoo'd on my leg :) Have seen a 'round tuit' for awhile.

The yellow object was used in the center of a 45 record to play it one a 78 turntable. The metal object is a camping can opener

Is that a P38? When I first became a military wife, 24 years ago, the P38 was our can opener of choice! At first it was the only one we owned, but the sucker worked so well we just kept using it!

My 11 year old was just using the 45 adapter a few days ago. He snagged all of my old records and we got him an old turntable from a flea market and he loves them.

    If the 45's don't catch on I'm sure the 8-track will !

The can opener was used for k-rations in the military, I remember my brother during the vietnam era calling it a John Wayne

I took my Army basic training at Fort Ord in 1961 and I was issued a P-38. I still have the k-rations opener and it works great today.

Amazing how 4 things you can hold in one hand bring back so many memories. Thanks-I have 3 of the 4, maybe if I really go look, I probably could find the 4th.

Yep, used on of those 45 adapters just today, also have them in Aluminum. I have wooden nickels but mine are rectangle from back in the 30's. The p-38 well last time I opened a MRE was back in the 80's. They changed from the cans to the plastic bags when I was in Germany. I loved the Dehydrated Strawberrys, would trade the German Kids when out on manuvers MREs' for brotchens and sliced meats. LOL Dave

I have the first three items . Our round tuit is made of ceramic and is hanging on our front porch on the end of a wind chime . It is a constand reminder to keep up with the yard work . LoL !!!!!

I have all 4. ... A small baggie with the 45 centers, a bunch of wooden nickles, a few Round Tuits, and a few p-38s. Found a rusty p-38 in a some of my military "stuff" the other day.
