    Both of these came from my husband's maternal grandmother. The bracelet is marked Miriam Haskell and the brooch is unmarked. I love the bracelet but have learned the hard way that it's not meant to be worn with a sweater. There are a few spots where the base metal sticks out in a point and can catch - two of them might be visible in the photo, at the bottom.

      If what sticks out are prongs meant to hold the stone in place, they can be (very gently with a fabric-wrapped tool) bent down to their original shape so they don't snag.
