I am trying to find out f this trunk can be linked to the Laconia 1, (1912-17) or if its from the Laconia 2(1922-1942). It has Cunard labels with the name Laconia, date of sailing March 28th(no year), passenger names ME Hudson, first class, room B85.Southampton.Any comments appreciated.

Nice European "Bentwood" trunk as they are called. Those are fantastic stickers and I wish I could have some info. for you -- except to say that records are kept of these ships voyages so there must be a way. I would think that this trunk is of the later period, about a 1930 - 40 era trunk (although the picture is not so clear to know for certain) so I would hazard a guess that it would be from the later ship. I would take some warm soapy water and a cloth and gently wash up this trunk to get the mold off and then place it is a very warm and dry room. You will not hurt the labels if you use a damp cloth over them. Thanks for the post!
