We picked this chair up recently from a local antique shop, the seller was selling it under "referee chair". Another person said it was a Victorian era barber chair... I need more info on this item. Its in good condition, fabric seems to be new and the foot board seems to be new as well.

I was told when I had one of these it was a barber shop shoe shine chair.
Thanks Tom!
I like it.... I can see it being a shoe shine chair. Did your chair have a unique foot board?
There's two type of these chairs, one with the foot rest attached to the chair or there was a push up foot rest.
Ok, cool. The foot board that is on my chair seems to be of been replaced.
Thanks again.
