Found near my Home in Eatonton, GA. Lots of Indian History in area. Why the faces? Any additional facts or information about their purpose is most welcome. Thanks!

Found near my home in Eatonton, GA. Much Indian history in my area. I find lots of pottery and arrowheads. Have heard rumers of indian graves with 100 feet of my home. Why The faces? What was the purposes. I have 41 total, not all have a face. I can tell that they were carved, see evidence of tools and sanding.
