    Hi everyone, don't know much about this unit except that it is in the middle of the woods at an old abandoned homestead. It appears no one has actually lived there since 1979 (calenders on wall) The cooler is under a collapsed lean-to. I was able to open the accessible door and other than being dirty it didn't look rusty. there was what appeared to be 2 hoses coming from the back of the unit, but isn't varified due to how much stuff its surrounded by. I believe it to be late 50's early 60's but not sure. On a side note, there are also 1000's of vintage coke, mt. dew, royal, primo (pepsi???) , etc everywhere as well as the wooden coke crates and an alluminum vintage coke display rack (sign has some rust).
    Thanks for letting me share and Im eger to hear what yall think.

      found the model plate and this particular machine is a 50's westinghouse wd-22 dry cooler. I did further inspection and there is minimal rust at bottle edges, but no rot and all panels are there and intact. LOL even found an unopened coke bottle still inside the machine. I am guesing it will need total restoration since the seals are cracked and dry and it has some rust... Anybody have idea of what it might cost me to restore it.

      I am well aware of that scenario, so with the help of gps, google earth, and my local county gis mapping, I was able to determine that the location of the property is right at the border of the local electric company land and an estate where the execitrix lives in anther state. Thus, by definition (forsaken or deserted: an abandoned building; an abandoned kitten. (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/abandoned) this homestead is "abanadoned". Giving the fact that gps could be off slightly, I had planned on further contacting both the local electric company and the execitrix of the estate and verify who actually owns it. By asking permission there is a possibility to acquire this item... I am no way a theif and only conscerned with wether it would be worth it to restore since I am a scrapper and starting to dabble in antiques since it bring more $$$$ than straight scrapping. I enjoy cleaning up the environment and making a buck at the same time. But thanks for the comment :}

      I have discovered a very similar cooler on some property I purchased. Mine has a Cavilier ID tag and is model CM10-D. The cover doors are both painted red, and there is ametal wire guard running from near the bottom to the lid on the front side. There are twin embossed Coke Cola markings on each side of the wire guard. Also, there is a stamped grill panel on the bottom. I have not been able to find any information on a Cavilier CM10-D, But from your picture, it looks like yours. Any ideas?
