Could someone help me and tell me about when these dolls were made? They are small (9") and wear bloomers and cotton dresses. They don't have a full "doll body" (please excuse the amateur lingo...), only heads, feet and hands. The rest is "stuffing" (again, here I go with the lingo). I got these pretty girls today at an auction but I wonder what I bought here. My husband says I should stick to antique fishing lures (lol) and stop buying things I know nothing about...oh well, reassure me that I didn't buy chinese walmart junk please.

They are very cute--I can picture these under a Christmas tree--the colors. Do they have any markings at all, such as on the back of the head or back?

Jewels, I can't find any markings at all.

Hi, okay, there are some doll experts that will come along and help :) In my non-expert opinion I'm thinking they are 1970's-80's dolls based on the clothes and yarn hair, made to look like doll house dolls (small size for playing in doll houses). I could be totally wrong though so keep that in mind :). They are very cute and I love the girl in green.

Hi Jewels is correct they date from likely 1980-90's . Not sold as toys but as inexpensive doll decorations. 2 of them are wearing homemade clothes it appears and I can not see their face painting clear enough to know if they were made by a person in a doll ceramic class . At any rate I hope you did not not pay to much so husband can rub it in . They are not antique dolls and do not sell well in today's market . If you love them I would display them and enjoy your purchase :-)
