This pixie lamp belonged to my mom. I believe it has a marble base and ivory hands and face, but not sure. It's quite heavy. I would like to know who made it, approximately when it was made, etc. I'm not sure when my mom purchased it, but always remember it being in our home. Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

It is a French Art Deco Piece, are there any marks on the bottom. It is beautiful.
No marks that I've been able to see, but I'll check again.
Look around the base of the metal parts for a name. I believe it is a Gerdago sculpture, is is very smillar to his style. Select images on Google and fill in his name.
Have to agree with rlwindle...

Thank you all very much. So, it's Gerdago and alabaster, not marble, base. I appreciate you all, thanks, again.
I'm searching for info on the same item. Mine belonged to my great grandmother and has been handed down over the years and recently passed to me. Here's a link I found...

We call ours "The Dancing Lady"
I have seen many lamps like this and some exactly like this at several of the auction sites lately. I even seen some this week. There seems to be no shortage. When sold by auction they are getting up to 750 or so for an identical one. Nice piece.
Also if you look up the work by the Art Deco sculptor, Gerdago. His work was very much like this, if it was not designed by him in the first place.
Also the glass is by Millefours also, if I have not spelled it incorrectly. You should have no trouble finding pieces like it often for sale. I find some every week it seems lately, they seem to be all coming out of the woodwork now !!~
