One of my specialty collections is New England Telephone and Telegraph Company ringer boxes. I love the wax ball type arrestors and their fondness for 4" gongs. Thsi is one such ringer box. It features giant 4" gongs on a massive ringer box. Yes, those are 4" gongs! There is no type specification on this box which makes me think it may be a special order.
Those are "BFB's"! Big #*@ bells! You had these re-nickeled? Good poste.
