I have been trying to identify this machine. Singer tells me that it was manufactured on February 25,1915 in Elizabeth, NJ and that it is a model 15. However, when I Google this I can't find a machine that is the same as mine. I am trying to determine if it originally came with the motor or if that was added later. It has the knee bar with copper wiring inside. It runs fairly well and I use it on a regular basis. I am just curious to find as much info as I can about it. It was purchased on Craigslist so I have no back history about it. Thanks in advance.

As noted in the following link, the Model 15 was manufactured for over 100 years. Yours may have had a motor adapted (and other "upgrades") to it some time during its life. - Singer dated it for you by the serial number but they would not retain records of any repairs or upgrades done by the consumer.

this machine has been refurbished completely - with a new motor and light, and paint job and decals all probably added at the same time. Which is why you can't find one the same :)
