    The fuel operated iron is branded "Royal" and the second electric iron is branded "Walmac". These were handed on to me by father but I (and he) do not know the history of these.
    I would appreciate if somebody could give me some background information on these two items.

      I really like the gasoline powered iron with the original box. It is what is called a self heating sad iron. Just search "Royal Gasoline Iron". I'll go with circa 1900.
      Google images is very helpful.
