This was my grandmother's cabinet plate. She never said where she got it. She was a maid for many rich people in the 20s. It is gold and platinum hand painted. An embossed mark is very faint on the back. I have not been able to find anything with this shape. I love the delicate irises!
You might like to give a pic of that mark on the back to help people.
Of course, I will upload the best shot I can get. It is impressed and very faint. I can only make out a cross it the symbol (which looks like an urn). There is a name along side of the urn, or below it, depending how you look at it. I cannot make out any letters even with a 30x magnifier.
