I found several boxes of tracks and Gilbert American Flyers while cleaning out my parents garage. They are 3/16 scales. Found many that I never knew about. My great-grandfather and grandfather both worked on the railroads, and were huge collectors. If anyone could please help with information on them. I even have the original instruction booklet

The boxes say copyright 1940... I don't know where to look or how to go about it. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank You

The American Flyer Locomotive 322 Hudson and tender you show was produced from 1946 to 1949 and modeled after the New York Central Railroad. -- Do you only have the 2 cars shown (#969 & #933) or are there others not shown. Here is a link to a site with lots of information on these Gilbert trains.

That's a coincidence as I just found a box of those in my parents' garage. I think it is called S Scale.
