I first saw this piece at my husband's grandmother's house. She received it from an aunt long ago. I'm not sure how old this is, or who made it. It is 2 pieces: the aquarium and the stand. There are no markings or manufacturer name anywhere to be found on it. I believe it is wrought iron or cast iron... it is very heavy. I would love to find out more about this piece!

This is very similar to my aquarium and stand made by the Klepper Iron Foundry in Covington, Ky with a patent date of 1882. This stand originally had eagle finials on the top corners of the tank and swivel plant holder on the lower corners of the stand.

      Sorry, I don't think my link above worked. Maybe this will work: <a href="http://s1118.photobucket.com/albums/k610/davrx/Jewel/?action=view&amp;current=AQUARIUM671AA.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1118.photobucket.com/albums/k610/davrx/Jewel/AQUARIUM671AA.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Sorry, I keep selecting the wrong format. Maybe third time is the charm:
