We bought 3 side chairs and 1 arm chair at a thrift store. We have been trying to find out the manufacturer and approximate age. The wood appears to be Philipine Mahogany. We did recover the seats as they were covered with a very nasty material which appeared at one time to be a flocked fabric. There is nothing on the wood of the chairs to indicate a name or a mark of the manufacturer. We also looked under the seats with no luck.

I found an armchair in black with gold accents. As with yours there is no indication of manufacturer. Did you find any information ? I believe they are after 1930, because of the Phillips head screws in the seat supports.

looks to be.. American Neoclassicism-the Federal style 1780 - 1820 ...could be a newer copy or maybe not ...best I can find for you.. ...others will come and look as well ..good luck
