    3 1/2 inches wide
    2 1/2 " tall
    The wick will turn to an additional 1/2".
    Turning stem is 3"

    I don't know if it is sterling silver but it is at least an unmarked silver plate

      Usually silver plate, it's an alcohol lamp (warmer), for various plates, urns, servers, chafing dishes, etc.
