Hi, I don't have measurements yet, but was wondering if I could get an idea of what type of chairs these were. The shorter one belonged to a piano teacher who believed it was from the 1930's. Don't really have any info about the taller chair, but it is very narrow and made of some type of light weight wood. I will try to get better pictures tomorrow. Thanks.

Check out the term 'Hall Chair'. They weren't meant to be comfortable ... those waiting in the hall to pay their rent might be invited to sit on one. There's one of the Special Nile versions on eBay at the mo' described as being a Jacobean Hall Chair in Winchester.
