Once again an aquiremeant from grandma. Heavy. She things pure silver I think silver plated brass. No markings. But it's unique and pretty and you guys rock so I figured I'd look to your guidance.

It looks plated to me, but if Grandma wants to think it's silver, let her!!
No, not silver - base metal with silver plate. The weight is one indication. Try not to clean it too much. :-)

Agree with friends, Efesgirl gave a good hint: pure silver pieces like this are always light :-)
The bottom was a give away in my opinion.
