Markings and joints of the set of six chairs I've asked about that are from a home in Connecticut built in 1756. Trying to identify era and style? Thanks.

Could there have been 17 chairs? Maybe not in a single set, but would a maker just number all the chairs he made in the same style sequentially?

You pictures make no sense. Post TITLES Like: Chair #1 of 1 Rosette Back. (1 of 2 Rosette back for add'l post for same chair) DESCRIBE what is in the pictures as if someone is blind.

The more info you provide, the better. example: Pic 1: back joint, Pic 2 number on front of chair. You also need to post more complete pictures. IMO, those chairs are not from 1756.

If you saw those pictures, would you have any idea what they depict? There are many auction houses in CT & New York, many (most) offer free appraisal days.

Celiene - This post is a follow up to his earlier postings of the chairs. The chairs can be seen in their entirety. Check his listings.

Five threads for these chairs seems a little extreme to me.

And you seem a little rude to me. No one has yet been able to identify them and some kind people have asked for additional pictures.
