Navy Good Conduct ... (I thought I was the only one that got one of those)
Army Reserve Component ...
National Defense ...
Army Service Ribbon ...
Tell me what the last two are for??? Skivvy raid on female berthing?
Tell me you made the change from Army to Navy and not the other way around!
I'll post a "like" at least until I hear an answer to the last question.
Thank you for that belly laugh ! skivvy raid, indeed !
On my ship, a Skivvy Raid on female berthing would have gotten you a purple heart.
It was fun being in charge of the phone switchboard. You could listen in on the Women's Berthing line and it was better than any soap opera.
Truth be told I had been out for 20 years when I joined th Army Guard, It all started because my brother and I both wanted to go and join a new unit in our area, Helicopters.........( He was a Helicopter Mechanic from Nam) but they rejected him due to poor hearing and took me so I got out of the Navy in 1967 and went into The Army National Guard in 1987 and stayed until 1996 when I had to get out due to medical reasons.
BTW, there were NO women on ships when I was in the Navy....and to tell the truth I can't remember why I got the ribbons.
I have known a few cross overs. I met one the other day I met one who was a Chief in the Navy and got out and now is in the Army serving with the guard. He too is in helicopters.
love these and the colors are very beautiful :) love the Military Ribbons:)
Cross-overs sometimes made for interesting combinations. I knew a Major once who wore both an Army aviator's wings and a Navy submariner's badge.
I am suprised-- I didn't think the wear of USN badges was permitted in the Army uniform.
I do remember a few who wore ribbons and medals from another service.

Actually the more I thought about it-- I recall a former USN member who used to wear his SEAL Trident. He was a CPT or MAJ.
