I saw the Doyle Lane weed vase earlier and thought I'd post another orange-sized orange weed vase - this one by Frank Matranga. I guess there was something about Southern California that made people think about oranges.

Frank Matranga, for those who don't know, is a master potter probably best known for his large scale ceramic murals but he has enjoyed a long career creating art and utilitarian pottery. His home and studio are in Manhattan Beach, California.

Doyle Lane was pretty great as well, a glazing master. He was located in the Altadena / Pasadena area of Los Angeles.
