    I got this at my local flea market. I just thought it was unusual, then I realized it is a nutcracker. I'm not sure how well it works, have not cracked any nuts with it yet.

      We had one of these sitting on the hearth. I usually got the job of cleaning the brass and silver. This one looks like a much smaller one. Ours was heavy and very long - difficult to clean.

      Ours was a nutcracker - a bit of a conversation piece. I'll have a look for a photo.

      Check the makers mark some are collectable.

      Wow, I didn't think anyone would be interested in this. But it peaked my curiosity. Now I'm gonna have to see if it works. And also look for a mark. Thanks!
