    Have recently been given to me when clearing out family members house. Seems to be missing a lid. Someone thought it was victorian - any help would be appreciated.

      EPBM : Electro Plared Britannia Metal. Not silver. An early English form of silverplate. Victorian for sure !!!

      The founder of the firm was J. Winter in 1760c. In 1829 the firm was active as Henry Wilkinson & Co and in 1872 was converted into a limited liability company under the style Henry Wilkinson & Co Ltd. In 1892 the firm was acquired by Walker & Hall. The firm used the trade mark SILBO .

      Could it be an English mustard pot? I have one from my grandmother, and it has a little hinged lid.
