Galt & Bro sterling silver cream ladle dated 1891. This beautiful
Ladle by an American company based in Washington DC has hallmarks
Left of the word Sterling that appear to be British. I have never
Seen this hallmark on any of their pieces. Would like to know if
Anyone would have an idea what these marks are? They definitely do
Not seem to be American.
Sorry if I am giving info you have already researched Musicfan.
The anchor means this was struck and assayed in Birmingham England. I am having trouble reading the other two marks but they will provide date and maker info. Check them on these sites:

What's really mystifying is why does an American company, Galt & Bro from Washington DC have British hallmarks on it?
