Here we have Spidy Spinne or Spidy Spider. Spidy is 12 cm and is standing on eight thin pipecleaner legs. His body is made from mohair, which is gloriously hand airbrushed in brown, red and green. Spidy has three black glass eyes and tiny pipecleaner feelers.
Spidy was produced in 1960 and 1961 only, making him quite collectible. This particular Spidy is particularly interesting as he was sold as part of a lot at the Christie's Steiff Auction in London in 2010 and was originally part of the Greenfield Collection.
