    21" tall, 19" wide. 1800's Porcelin headed dolls. Male and female. Male has crack on face...female appears to be intact with delicate headress. Original boxes house these dolls.

      Wow wow wow! That's a very unusual Hinamatsuri set of the dairi-bina or imperial couple (the "Emperor and Empress" dolls, as they're usually called in English). The sleeves on the mebina or "Empress" are unique and very striking. Fantastic craftsmanship overall.
