    I purchased this at a garage sale and I could not find a cameo face like this on any of the lamps I looked up with the marble .. if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.. thank you.

      The base is not marble but porcelain also. Its usually called a george and martha washington lamp. They were popular in the late 40's to very early 60's roughly. These type of lamps were never with marble anything. Sometimes as in this case they tried to make it look like marble, but painted.

      Phildmorris... right.. i am sorry I did not mean that it was marble but I meant that it was painted marble to look like.. it is all porcelain... thank you very much for your help.. now I can't wait till I look it up to find out more... how to have a blue glass one I cannot figure out anything about..
