These are service pins spannig the history of the airline from 1949 through 2005. It includes AAA uniform buttons and service pin, several Allegheny service pins, as well those of USAir and USAirways. It includes a commemorative coin issued for the name change from Allegheny to USAir, a solid silver rudder from the same time period, and a small plastic convair give away item.
This collection represents 2 generations of employees; my Father who started with All American in 1949 and served 19 years, my own pins from Allegheny in 1978 through USAirways for 18 years, as well as those of my wife from 1968 through 2006. My mother was also an Allegheny/USAir/USAirways employee from April 1967 to November 2002. Started in reservations and later planned capacity, working in Pittsburgh/Greentree/Winston-Salem and Crystal City. She recently passed away and I have found most or all of her service pins and I believe the commemorative coin is here somewhere as well.
