Would like to hear from anyone who can tell me what I have....it has silversmith markings on the back as well. Or if someone can direct me to an expert.

It's probably English-they were the best at marking their silver-try some British sources.

It is English Victorian sterling silver. It was made in Exeter in 1854 by John Stone. The armorial of the hand & dagger would show the family for whom it was made. For the most part is not part of the value unless had some royal connections, which that one doesn't. If you're curious as too the family, it would require your researching the heraldry. Try "Fairbairns Book Of Crests Of The Families Of Great Britain And Ireland." Good luck/
Looks like it was made in Birmingham ..I think I can see an anchor mark.

i have a serving fork with the same arm and dagger as well..... been trying to figure out where it is from .... did you have any luck?
