This has to be a reproduction, but it has been around for, at least, 77 years. It has no markings inside or out. It is put together with a flat head screw and if I recall correctly, its mouth was red. I'm wondering when they started reproducing Hubley Boston terriers and, perhaps, who made this one with the holes in the bottom. Any ideas?

This wasn't made from a Hubley mold nor would I suppose it to be from National. It very well could be an off brand stop. By that I mean it could be an original from whatever company made it. Hubley would have thrown this one in the scrap pile. There were many copy cat stops made and still being made.

My question was that, even though this is a known reproduction, I was trying to get a clue as to the manufacturer. The fact that Hubley would have thrown it in the trash is not relevant. Although it didn't help at all, I thank you for the comment.

You asked a question and got an answer. There are so many reproductions it is impossible to trace them if they are unmarked. Had your pictures been clear it might have been possible to give an estimate of the age. That is relevant and if you don't like the answer then don't ask the question.
