This 3 1-4"H opal glass dresser box is in the egg crate or baroque style, unlined, in pale blue with white "wave caps" that have hand painted pink flowers & pearly white dots. From the Wave Crest line by CF Monroe of Meriden CT made between 1897-1919

Thank you so much Eileen for the lovely compliments, I am really glad you liked this dresser box, I thought it was so pretty with the pale blue shiny coloring as most were white with a duller finish. These boxes had silk linings top & bottom at one time but most are gone, partial or very frayed, must have been lovely when brand new

Right Ken, the exterior is pretty much intact, just a small scrape across the underside over the Wave Crest logo. Not bad for at least 100 yo! Many thanks for your super kind praise

I'm so glad you liked this Penny and really appreciate the kind compliment and love, these boxes are pretty rare as the last production date was 1919 when the co closed, but I love them as there are many different shapes, sizes and handpainted designs (I like the cherubs best) - Jenni
