Lol Thomas, that is super cute & thanx for the smile! And reminds me....do you know how to release a squirrel, quickly ha! I should know, in one of my former apts, the mean landlord placed a squirrel in one of those black wire wild animal traps under our BR window, he was planning to drown it I think, so even tho I've always been kinda scared of squirrels, the poor thing was spinning frantically so I carried the trap under a tree and fiddled with the side piece, it freed him and he sped up the tree! I felt very good about that all day, saving his little life :)

I know Eileen, squirrels are NEVER satisfied, as anyone whose ever had a bird feeder will tell you! I used to have one of those tube feeders and it drew all species of beautiful birds, and the squirrels would eat the overspill. When I would go outside to replace the seed, I would make to chase the squirrels but they would back off just a little then wait expectantly lol. Thank you folks for rekindling nice memories for me, and the wonderful comments too!

Thank you MrsT I am so happy you liked both squirrels, I thought the petite pin could use a little background from its glass friend :)

Ken I am also really happy you loved the both squirrels, and am always grateful for the warm praise, thank you so much

The brooch is a very odd little beastie with his beady red eyes and rather cartoony look like he's just spotted the biggest acorn he's ever seen in his life under the nearest tree and can't believe his luck! The other figurine is in a very elegant pose, sometimes you do see squirrels sitting like that bit mostly they just bound about everywhere,

Right Lauren the squirrel brooch does have a cartoonish look and quite the beady eyes lol, think the designer was going for the funny here. And yes, mostly we see squirrels on the move, seeking out food and trouble :) Super comments & thanx too for the love

Aw Mary, how cute about the San Pedro squirrels being so tame they would kiss your foot, it's so nice when wildlife has been tamed enough to approach people, here they usually run up a tree as you walk by but they pause while eating a nut. You're right, they prefer nuts, my bird seed blends often included nuts and black sunflower seeds which they also liked. Thank you for the great story, compliment & love
