    Yes a 4-12-2 and not a narrow gage 4-12-2 but a full sized 4-12-2. 12 being the number of drive wheels. Note this is a solid frame locomotive and not articulated like the Big Boy or Challenger. It would straighten out curves when it would go through a section of curved track.
    This locomotive is in fact a record holder. As the last example of its kind it is the largest solid frame locomotive in existence. It is 103 feet long and weighs almost 500,000 tons. It is also one of only four surviving 3 cylinder locomotives. Made in 1926 by Alco it was designed to carry heavy freight and had a top speed of 50 mph.
    The museum displays their steam locomotives with the outer skin off, something that is not unusual. Keeps the rust bugs away. I used a photo with some humans present to shall scale.
    Wrapping it up with a pair of cab views. The last one is the engineer's station. If only they had a few more knobs to turn.
