    I'm wondering who made this- what tribe? I'm thinking a souvenir piece but it looks like maybe it was used with the outside stains unless it was a flower pot????Thanks for any help in advance!

      It is Santo Domingo (now called Kewa) pottery. Kewa Pueblo is an independent, sovereign Indian nation/tribe/pueblo located between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico.

      It was made for the souvenir/tourist market, in the first half of the 20th century.

      Since traditional pueblo pottery is never glazed, it is not waterproof, so use as a flower pot or vase would damage it. What you see as "stains" are probably "fire clouds," created from burning fuel coming in direct contact with the vessel during a traditional outdoor firing.
