My first purchase of ives trains. After a little tweaking and lubrication she came to life. Fantastic!

Ives made some very quality trains/toys. When Ives was having finacial woes Joshua Lionel Cowen bought their company mainly to get their forward-reversing mechanism that had a neutral position in between the two directions.

Thanks Toy rebel for the information. Much appreciated. Thanks Vyil33rpm for the kind words. I turned 60 last month and I have been collecting as long as I can remember. It started with stamps and as time went on and I had more funds to buy with I could go after better stuff. Everything I got I have collected from yard sales, salvation army, ebay and goodwill. I have been very fortunate to get some good stuff and I keep what I can in the house and the rest is organized (to some degree) in one of my buildings. I was excited to find collectors weekly a couple weeks ago because I would like for people to see what I gave accumulated over the years. I have not scratched the surface yet with more to come. I appreciate both of you,Ralph
